A space where poetry and essays challenge conventional thinking and reimagine what it means to be human

About the Author

At the intersection of curiosity, courage, and the soul’s longing to evolve

Author Website is a literary home for contemplative writing shaped by nature, inner life, and cosmospiritual reflection. This page introduces the voice behind Escape from Matter and Return to Self.

I am a Slovak writer and lawyer by profession, writing in English while living in Slovakia. My work, spanning poetry and essays, is rooted in an integral, syncretic spiritual philosophy concerned with rupture and renewal, and with humanity’s enduring search for meaning.

My perspective has been shaped through sustained inquiry and engagement across cultures, disciplines and professional spheres, including work in business and human rights, in both the public and private sectors.

Baptised into the Catholic Church in what was then a communist country and later touched by experiences of the unknowable that lie beyond the boundaries of doctrine and certainty, I have pursued a path shaped less by adherence to any spiritual tradition than by lived experience, reflection and exploration.

A disruptor by necessity, I write from the conviction that many inherited intellectual, spiritual, and social frameworks have reached the limits of their explanatory power. Years of study, travel, dialogue, and engagement with complexity have led me to embrace a whole-system view of human existence.

I am neither a system-builder nor an advocate of any single creed. Rather, I seek to revive what already is, bringing renewed attention to realities that have always been present yet are often overlooked. To me, the present moment is a fragile membrane through which the whole system continually shifts its perspective and reveals new possibilities.

I write as an explorer and speak as a believer whose outlook transcends confessional boundaries. This perspective finds its clearest expression in my reimagining of the cross, not merely as a religious emblem, but as a universal symbol of personal growth, inner transformation, and the ongoing unfolding of human potential.

My work articulates an integral philosophy grounded in a cosmospiritual vision, one that holds science and transcendence, reason and mystery, ethics and survival in deliberate and productive tension. Committed to the process of inquiry rather than the certainty of conclusions, I do not seek to provide final answers, despite what a first glance might suggest. Instead, my writing aims to create a space in which assumptions may be questioned and new possibilities imagined, with whatever endures emerging organically from the journey itself.

If I challenge established worldviews, it is not for the sake of provocation, but from a belief that coherence, responsibility and meaning must be consciously rebuilt if humanity is to remain intelligible to itself within an increasingly interconnected universe.

At the heart of my philosophy lies a simple premise: human beings are the primary system to be understood, cultivated and fully lived out.

The Story

A voice rooted in presence

The work gathered here grows from a practice of close attention to what is. Moving between poetry, reflection, and expansive spiritual inquiry, Veronika Zuffova-Kuncova explores the places where beauty and rupture meet, where grief and solitude become a teacher, and where new possibilities for belonging begin to emerge.

What began as a private search for language has gradually become a public invitation into wonder, repair, and the mystery of becoming. Each book offers its own threshold and terrain, yet all are guided by the same impulse: to write with honesty, depth, and reverence for the complexity of human experience.

Creative Path

Books as living companions

Escape from Matter โ€” A Journey Beyond the Preformatted World explores perception, freedom, and the possibility of stepping beyond inherited forms. Return to Self โ€” Poetry on Rupture and Repair turns inward, tracing tenderness, fracture, and renewal.

Together, these works reflect a practice that is both literary and deeply human: one that honors complexity while remaining intimate, lyrical, and grounded in the natural world.
